This trip is deigned for anyone with average fitness to explore Nepal and experience some Himalyan cultures. This is one of the best trips to choose for first time visitors to Nepal. This trip provides you with excellent Annapurna mountain views and tours in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, the Pokhara region - the most beautiful and second largest destination for tourists not only famous for western tourists but also for Nepalese tourists.

Day 1. SaturdayDepartSydney
Day 2. Sunday: Arrive in KTM (1300m):
Today you will arrive in Kathmandu. One of our representatives will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. There are no activities planned for today so enjoy a rest at the hotel or depending on your arrival time you may wish to explore the Thamel area and have dinner at one of the many quality local restaurants. If you feel tired you may eat in at the hotel and catch up on your jetlag.
Day 3. Monday: KTM Sightseeing Optional:
Today wewill start our tour between 9.00-9.30 am. Ourtourguide and driver will be waiting in the hotel lobby. We will tour the famous Buddhist stupa, The Bauddhanath that is also known as Little Tibet, then tour the famous Hindu temple, The Pashupatinath. A 15 minute drive then takes us to Shyambunath (Monkey Temple). A short drive to Thamel for lunch and then the rest of the day is free.
Day 4. Tuesday: Drive to Pokhara (940m):
We will take a tourist bus to Pokhara taking approx. 7 hours. The total roaddistance is only 200km (about 165 miles) but the scenery is beautiful. We drive through the Nepali countryside, along the famous white water rafting river, Trishuli. We will spend a night in Pokhara. After checking in at your hotel, you can explore around the lake area, enjoy the shopping where you can pick up some great bargains and then have dinner at one of the excellent restaurants.
(A flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara for $90 is available if you choose not to take the bus.)
Day 5. Wednesday, Trek to Pothana (3-4 hours) 1640m.
A 35-45 minute drive to Kande and our trek begins. Our trail goes through a small village, which is right off the main road. Then we go up slowly to Australian Camp. From here our trail goes gradual flat to Pothana. A stop for lunch and then continue walking through a rainforest with a beautiful view of Fish Tail Mountain. We will stay the night at Aussie camp or go on to Pothana.
Day 6. Thursday: Trek to Landruk (5-6 hours) 1600m.
We see magnificent mountain views in the morning. Our trek starts after breakfast. Our trail goes through the beautiful forests and gradual flats to Deurali. After Durali we will descend down to Bheri Kharka and then gradual flat to Tolkha where we have lunch. We continue our walk for a further hour and a half to arrive at Landruk.
Day 7. Friday: Trek to Gandruk (1940m):
Today we trek to Gandruk, which is a small Gurung town. Guring is a name of ethnicity. It is a famous stopping place for trekkers. You will see a great view of Gandruk from Landruk in the afternoon and a fantastic view of Gandruk at night. Our trail descends down to the river where we cross a small bridge then continue to go up to Gandruk. Our walk today will be a very slow half day trek and then spend the rest of the afternoon at Gandruk village. You will have a fantastic view of Annapurna South and Himchuli Mt.
Day 8. Saturday: Trek to Tadapani (2590m):
Tadapani is a small village where few lodges are available. We will gradually climb up through a beautiful forest. The forest is a mixture of Rhododendron, Magnolia, and Oak. You may see some wildlife today on the way such as monkeys, barking deer etc. After walking for 2-3 hours we will have lunch at Bhaisi Kharkha. and then a further 90mins to Tadapani.
Day 9. Sunday: Trek to Gorepani (3194m)
Gorepani is a very beautiful place. The trek today is one of the most beautiful that Nepal has to offer. We walk beside a crystal clear stream with vertical cliffs either side showering us with waterfalls and flowers. The bridge crossings and views will have you wishing it would never end. At the top we have a break and see the magnificent views of the valley below. We then continue on to Gorepani, the highest elevation on this trek. You will see a really good view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, lower Mustang and upper Mustang which is the border between Nepal and Tibet.
Day 10. Monday: Trek to Trikhedunga(1540m)
Today we get up early and climb to Poon Hill. Waiting in anticipation for the sun to rise with all of the other trekkers is a sight to behold. With the gradual lighting of the Annapurnas from PoonHill we see the most beautiful panoramic mountain view. We will spend time here before going down to Gorepani and continueing for a half-day trek to Trikhedunga or Helae. Our trail is mostly downhill today.
Day 11. Tuesday: Trek to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara, (940m)
This is our last day of trekking (Hiking). The track winds down gradually along the river giving everyone time to relax and reflect on our fantastic adventure. We will walk about 3 hours to Nayapul and catch a bus or cab to Pokhara. Arriving in Pokhara by lunch time we then have the full afternoon as free time.
Day 12. Wednesday: Rest day in Pokhara:
Today is a full free day in Pokhara. You can go paragliding, take a ultra light flight or go boating on the lake and walk up to the Buddhist Stupa. These are all optional. We will arrange it as a group program among interested people. Later in the afternoon, prepare for next day early departure to Kathmandu.
Day 13. Thursday: Fly to KTM:
We will take an early flight to Kathmandu. This flight takes only half an hour. From the flight you will see an excellent view of the mountains and countryside. The rest of the day will be at leisure to catch up on some shopping or to re-visit your favourite eating houses.
Day 14. Friday: Everest Scenic Flight (Optional) & KTM Tour
If you are interested you may take the Everest Scenic flight for an hour. This is an optional program, which is not included in the package trip. Your guide will arrange it for you. In the afternoon we will do tour. This is your final shopping and strolling time around the Thamel area. Later in the afternoon we will organise our farewell dinner and prepare for the next day return home.
Day 15. Saturday: Departure from KTM to Sydney:
In the morning there is always that last bit of shopping that you haven't done or present to pick up. We will depart for the airport around 11am.
